Teaching novels about money, crypto and AI: free prologue and first chapter, sales on Amazon and a premium area per book.
Hypothesis: an independent author can sell more and depend less on the store by owning a site that gives away the first chapter, sends readers to Amazon and offers paid extras (extended workbook, templates, bonus chapter) the store cannot provide.
What was built: a bilingual site with a web reader, catalog, user accounts with magic-link and Google sign-in, a premium area per book, payments through Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, transactional email from our own domain and a metrics dashboard that joins reads, Amazon clicks, premium sales and KDP royalties.
Status: in production at dannyviasus.com since September 2026, with the first book published in Spanish and English. It is also the lab's test bench for the discovery layer: technical SEO, structured data, llms.txt and IndexNow.
